More Georgia Bulldogs Players Are Going Pro, What’s Next for Them?
It’s been quite the rollercoaster of a Monday for the Dawgs, and it looks like the NFL Draft is shaping up to be an event to watch this year.
You won’t believe it, four Bulldogs just declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Can you feel the excitement? Let me break it down for you.
1. First up is wide receiver Arian Smith
This guy has just wrapped up his fifth and final season at Georgia, and let me tell you, he saved the best for last. He recorded outstanding stats this year: 48 catches for 817 yards and four touchdowns That’s huge! I mean, we’re talking about better stats than his first four years combined. Talk about a breakout moment. So, sure, he might be a bit of a gamble for NFL teams since he’s only had one super productive season under his belt, but I bet whoever takes a shot on him won’t be disappointed.

2. Next on the list is defensive lineman Mykel Williams
After completing his third season, he’s decided to make the leap to the pros. Now, he might not have the biggest numbers with just 21 tackles, but listen to this: he logged five sacks and forced two fumbles. NFL teams love that kind of explosive playmaking ability, so I can definitely see him turning some heads during the draft process.

3. Now, we can’t forget about defensive back Malaki Starks
He’s another one who could have returned for another season, but why mess with a good thing, right? Starks had himself quite the year with 77 tackles, three passes defended, and one interception. That performance earned him some shiny accolades, including First Team All-American honors from a few publications. If I were a betting person, I’d say he’s a lock for a first-round pick. Talk about potential.

4. And last but certainly not least, we have linebacker Smael Mondon
Mondon just finished his fourth season, and by all accounts, it was his best yet. He racked up 57 tackles, three sacks, and three passes defended all in just 10 games. Can you imagine how much he could do in a full season? No wonder NFL teams are going to have their eyes on him.

So, there you have it, Four Bulldogs are ready to take their talents to the next level. It’s always bittersweet to see these players leave college, but you can’t help but feel excited for what’s next for them in the NFL. Who knows, we might be seeing their names called on draft day sooner than later.
