Oklahoma State says goodbye to star LB
I’ve got some news from the football world that I think you’ll find pretty interesting. One of the best defenders in Oklahoma State history, known as Oliver, is making the jump to the pros.
He actually took a moment to thank OSU for everything, saying, “Thank you, Oklahoma State University, for taking care of me during my time here. The people I’ve met at this great university will always be remembered.”

Isn’t that sweet? It really shows how much he appreciated his time there.
Oliver definitely made his mark at OSU. He was known for being a serious threat to quarterbacks. Like, during his freshman year in 2021, he was on fire, leading the Big 12 with 11.5 sacks. Talk about making an impact right from the get-go. And I’ve gotta highlight this one moment… in the big Bedlam game against Oklahoma, he had a clutch fourth-down sack on Caleb Williams, which basically sealed the game for OSU and got them to an impressive 11-1 record. What a way to be a hero, right?

He didn’t just stick to one position either. Later in his career, he moved back to linebacker, but wherever he played, he was always a game-changer. His final career stats are really impressive: 134 tackles, 42 tackles for loss, and 23.5 sacks. That’s no small feat!
Unfortunately, his senior year didn’t go as planned. He suffered a season-ending injury in just the second game against Arkansas. That’s such a bummer, especially when you think about all the hard work he put in.
Even so, everyone who followed him at OSU will remember him fondly – fans, coaches, and teammates alike. It’s going to be a tough hole to fill without him, but honestly, whoever drafts him is getting a serious asset. His skills are going to help any NFL team he joins. Exciting times ahead for him
