Why Was Ryan Williams So Upset with Jalen Milroe in the Alabama Bowl Loss?
Ryan Williams and his Alabama Crimson Tide wrapped up their freshman season with a pretty surprising 19-13 loss to Michigan. Like, everyone was expecting them to crush it, especially since they were favored by quite a bit—two touchdowns in some places.
And get this, Michigan was missing some of their star players, like projected first-round picks and stuff. So, you can imagine the disbelief when Alabama didn’t pull through. I mean, Ryan looked super frustrated on the field. There’s this moment when he shot a cold stare at Alabama’s QB, Jalen Milroe, after a pass went awry. It was just a high pass that barely slipped through his fingers, but you could tell it got under his skin.

Williams only managed three catches for just eight yards during that game, which is tough for a player considered a star receiver. The Michigan defense, especially their young guy Jyaire Hill, really had his number that day. After the game, you could see how devoted he is to the Tide when he posted “til the day I die” on social media. It sounds like he’s still all in with Coach DeBoer, even after such a disappointing end to the season. So, it seems like he’s here for the long haul.
But wow, some folks really thought Alabama had a shot at the College Football Playoffs this year. It’s just wild how quickly things can turn around in college football.
