BREAKING: Purdue Boilermakers Lands Massive Commitment from Former 5-star linebacker
Some exciting news about Purdue’s football team! They’ve picked up a new linebacker, Mani Powell, from UNLV, and he’s got one year of eligibility left.
As of now, Powell is the third linebacker to join the team from the transfer portal, alongside Alex Sanford and Carson Dean from Arkansas. Isn’t that a fun little connection? Speaking of connections, Powell actually started his career at Arkansas in his hometown. He played in 21 games there, racking up a few tackles before moving on.
A veteran added to the LB room, having played in 35 games over the past 3 seasons between stops at Arkansas and UNLV.

Last season at UNLV, he really stepped up, ranking fifth on the team with 59 tackles, along with nine tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. That’s pretty impressive. Overall, he’s the 13th player Purdue has snagged from the portal and the seventh player from UNLV.
It’s cool to see how these players are connecting and building something special at Purdue. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to seeing how Powell and the others contribute to the team next season.
