BREAKING: 4-star QB commit shuts down his recruitment for Oklahoma State
OSU Lands Massive Commitment from Hauss Hejny. He’s the former TCU quarterback who just decided to commit to Oklahoma State through the NCAA transfer portal. Pretty exciting stuff, right? Multiple outlets reported it.
What’s cool is that he’ll get to work with Doug Meacham, the new offensive coordinator. “Oh wow, I remember him!” Meacham was with TCU in different roles before, and he even coached at Oklahoma State from 2005 to 2012. So, it’s almost like a reunion for the two of them!
Now, I know you might be thinking, “Well, what did Hejny do at TCU?” The truth is, he didn’t really get much playtime this past season. He was in four games but didn’t attempt any passes. He did manage to carry the ball 15 times for 65 yards, though, so he wasn’t totally absent from the field.
He was a four-star recruit out of Aledo, Texas, so there’s definitely some talent there. For next season, he’ll be joining quarterbacks Garret Rangel, Zane Flores, and Maealiuaki Smith on the Cowboys’ roster. It’ll be interesting to see how they all fit together.
Also, just a little context, the Cowboys had a rough season this year, finishing 3-9 and not winning a single Big 12 game. Oof! They’re hoping this new addition, along with some other changes, will help turn things around. Can’t wait to see how Hauss Hejny plays out.
