Have you seen Abdul Carter’s latest post? It’s got me buzzing about his injury status just ahead of the CFP semifinals
Oh wow, have you heard about Abdul Carter? I mean, this guy is like the shining star of Penn State’s football team, If you ask me, he might just be the best defensive player in the entire country right now. It’s wild because the Nittany Lions just wrapped up their Fiesta Bowl game against Boise State with a 31-14 win, and they did it without him for a big chunk of the match.
So, here’s the scoop: Carter left the game in the second quarter with a left arm injury, and he had to get checked out in the medical tent. It’s a bummer since he couldn’t come back in. Their head coach, James Franklin, was pretty tight-lipped about the whole situation but did say something like, “Abdul’s going to do everything in his power to try to get back.” Sounds like he’s determined. But you know how it is. Sometimes, coaches don’t want to give too much away.
And then, just to add some spice to the whole thing, Carter posted on social media a couple of days later. You won’t believe it, He shared an image of Darth Vader chilling in a “bacta tank.” Can you just picture that? Like, if he’s using that Star Wars tech for recovery, he’s definitely serious about getting back on the field.

He’s a junior defensive end, and he just snagged the title of Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year after switching from linebacker to defensive line. That’s huge! Seriously, Penn State really needs him healthy for their upcoming College Football Playoff semifinal against either Georgia or Notre Dame. If a bacta tank can work wonders for Anakin Skywalker after all that tragic stuff he went through, then I’m all for Carter using it to heal up his arm. Let’s hope he’s back stronger than ever.
